About me
Welcome to Mom Jogger, a corner of the internet where motherhood and miles merge into an adventure. I’m the heart and soul behind this blog, living and loving life in Long Island, NY. Here, I weave tales of running, family, and the art of balancing it all with a touch of grace (and a fair share of chaos).
My love for running didn’t just sprout overnight; it’s a flame I had in high school, but was kindled watching my partner’s dedication to the sport. My husband (dadjogger.com) was the “runner” in our relationship when we were dating (we met when I was 16). I played my fair share of other sports with running always being my base. I grew up playing softball, soccer, swimming, springboard diving, basketball, and dance. The combination of all of these sports led me to find triathlons at the age of 18. These races were enticing to me because it involved switching sports and using all of the muscles in our body for one race. I will get back to triathlons later as they are a passion of mine.
As a mother to three incredible boys (ages, 3, 5, and 7), my days are filled with the laughter, energy, and unpredictability that comes with raising such spirited souls. Each run becomes not just a quest for fitness, but a brief sanctuary of self-care amidst the whirlwind of motherhood.
Mom Jogger is more than just a blog; it’s a narrative of embracing the challenges and triumphs of being a mom on the move. While my journey is marked by many personal victories of consistency, resilience, and the joy of running through life’s ups and downs.
Beyond the pavement, this blog explores the realms of fitness, nutrition, self-care, and the crafts that fill our home with love and creativity. It’s a space for sharing, learning, and growing together as we navigate the beautiful mess of motherhood and personal well-being.
My guiding philosophy? “One day at a time.” It’s a mantra that resonates through every aspect of our lives, from how we parent to how we run. It’s about finding joy in the journey, celebrating the small wins, and always moving forward, no matter the pace.
So lace up your sneakers, grab a cup of greens, and join me on this journey. Whether you’re a mom looking for a running buddy, a parent in search of balance, or just someone who loves a good story, you’re in the right place. Welcome to Mom Jogger, where every mile tells a story, and every story is a step towards embracing the chaos and beauty of life.
